Seeking a full-time Practice Manager: Hobart, TAS.
TasWomen by TasOGS (Tasmanian Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialists) – Tasmania’s first all-female multi-disciplinary obstetrics, gynaecology and women's health practice – is seeking a full-time practice manager.
The TasOGS practice manager position is available immediately and salary will be commensurate with years of experience.
The Practice Manager role
TasWomen has three female O&G specialists, four Women’s Health GPs, four medical receptionists, four midwives, psychologist, dietician and two physiotherapists. The practice manager complements this team, assisting in the running of the practice, managing staff, liaising with our healthcare workers and solving patient problems.
Focus of duties
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing staff, financial responsibilities, organisational governance, business and clinic operations, risk management, IT & asset management, marketing and strategic planning.
Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
A deep understanding of all front-of-reception responsibilities, including patient interaction, bookings, billings and medical record management.
Managing Medicare and private health fund billing; liaising with Medicare and funds on behalf of the business and practitioners.
Human resource management within the practice.
Communication and liaising with the practice’s independent healthcare worker service providers.
Communication and liaising with other medical practitioners.
Management of financial and legal responsibilities of the business.
Provide leadership with regards to establishing and maintaining business and clinical processes.
Support organisational governance and risk minimisation.
Participation in marketing and strategic planning.
Requirements
At least two years experience working in a medical practice as a practice manager.
A minimum Diploma-level management qualification.
Experience with Clinic To Cloud or other practice management software.
Demonstrated computing skills, in particular Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and on Apple Macintosh.
Experience with Xero or other accounting software.
Ability to communicate effectively with medical practitioners and other practices.
Desirable
Previous experience in Specialist Obstetric/Gynaecology medical practice.
Member of Australian Practice Managers Association.
