Dr Hannah Chapman

Hannah is a General Practitioner with a keen interest in women's health. She completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Tasmania, graduating with first class honours in 2002. Hannah went on to complete General Practice training in Hobart and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Hannah has spent several years working in General Practice and during that time has developed her interest and expertise in women's health. She has completed the Certificate of Sexual and Reproductive Health, and for the past nine years has worked at Family Planning Tasmania helping women with contraceptive choices (including IUDs and Implanons), bleeding difficulties, sexual health checks, preconception checkups as well as management of menopause and breast symptoms.

She enjoys helping women navigate the complexities and challenges of the reproductive years and is particularly passionate about treating PMDD, Perimenopause and providing GP led Pregnancy care. She enjoys helping women find the right contraceptive for them and advising on pregnancy planning.   She also offers muscle relaxant injections to provide fresh and natural results and has been a strong proponent of the use of entonox to relieve the discomfort of IUD Insertions.

Hannah is married with two young sons. Alongside her medical career she runs a lifestyle photography business and particularly enjoys capturing pregnancy and newborns.
